Results of
the 3-Gun Match, at Shield. 8th
to 10th July 2005.
Phew ! – wot a
Scorcher !! If the sun shines on the
righteous, then we must all be saints – 3 days of perfect weather, assuming you
don’t mind a gentle bit of dehydration, sun-burn and sweat (or for the ladies,
a gentle glow).
Yet again, we’re
indebted to Shield, namely Steve and Biddy, for their support both during the
event and at the prize table. A top venue deserves a top match, and we hope that
the 76 shooters enjoyed what was a very fulfilling match for us to both host
and shoot. Allowing for those much needed top-ups, nearly 20,000 rounds of ammo
went down-range – all safely, and in the general direction of the targets (some
closer than others).
Yet again, the
biggest Action Shooting event in the calendar outside of Bisley, and as such,
some major names took part. If you haven’t shot this yet, make it a firm date
in your diary for next year. Just ask those who took part – look out for the
many ‘3-Gun’ match shirts around the ranges.
